Whenever you need to study for an exam or learn a new language, just studying a book for this purpose may not be the best idea possible. That's because it's difficult to find certain pieces of information in a very large book and you cannot test your knowledge either, as most books don't have questions and trivia in the end, for testing your knowledge.

To avoid these situations and for making it easier to study, you can use the Anki application, a Windows program which allows you to test your knowledge regarding various subjects, by answering to specific questions. After installing and running the program, the user will first need to create the questions that will be used later on for testing his knowledge. Unfortunately, the program doesn't come with already-made questions.

After adding the desired questions into the program's database, one will be able to view each of them and in case he thinks that he still doesn't master the answer, he can go through the questions again and again. After learning the answer of a question, the program will not display it again to the user and will automatically go to the next one.

An unlimited number of questions can be added to the program's interface and all of them can be organized in various decks. All the decks created in the application can be exported to a project file at any moment. What's more, several profiles can be added to the application, each belonging to a certain user and containing specific settings.

Pros

It allows you to easily study for exams by creating various questions, which can be reviewed over and over again. Besides that, the questions can be organized in decks. What's more, the list of decks can be exported to a project file.

Cons

The program doesn't come with already-made decks or question lists. Anki allows you to easily study for any kind of exam by creating various questions and reviewing them.
